How should v belt be measured?
  • Measure V Belt Length

Use a cloth tape measure to measure the length. If a cloth tape measure is not available, use a thin string or nylon rope. Wrap it tightly around the outer circumference of the V-belt, mark the position after tightening, and then measure the length of the rope with a ruler. When measuring, keep the V belt slightly taut, and ensure that the cloth tape measure or string is tightly against the back of the V belt.

  • Measure V Belt Width and Height

Use a caliper or ruler to measure the width and height at the top of the V belt to determine the cross-section type of the V belt.

How to interpret v belt?

V-belt numbers can help you quickly identify your V-belt model and size. Common V-belt numbers consist of letters and length. The letter part indicates the cross-section model of the V belt, while the other numbers indicate the length.

What if there are no V-belt numbers or the numbers are worn out? First, use a caliper to measure the top width and height of the V belt to determine the cross-section type. Then, use a cloth tape measure or string to measure the length of the V belt. Based on the measured width, height, and length, refer to the relevant model reference table to determine the specific V-belt model.
