Double sided v belts are widely used in industries, garden machinery, agriculture, textile industry, and automotive applications, such as lawn and garden equipment, lawn mowers, conveyor belts, crushers, mule drives, mixers, HVAC systems, combine harvesters, etc.
Operating temperature range: -30°C to +60°C. Within this range, the double sided v belt maintains normal flexibility and transmission efficiency.
Below -30°C, the belt will harden and become prone to cracking. Above +60°C, the rubber material ages easily, loses elasticity, and has a reduced service life.
Replacement of double sided v belts should be determined based on the actual use of the belt (operating time, wear level), the magnitude of the load it bears, the operating environment, and the manufacturer’s recommendations. The main difference between double sided v belt and standard v belt is: double sided v belt features a hexagonal profile and is equivalent to two v belts joined together. The compression rubber provides support for the tension cord while absorbing vibration and heat.
When maintaining double sided v belts, keep the belt and pulley surfaces clean, avoiding oil and dust. Regularly check the belt tension to prevent it from becoming too loose or too tight. During operation, regularly inspect double sided v belts for wear or damage and replace them promptly.
