Rubber Vulcanization Equipment

Vulcanization is the final critical process in rubber belt production. It uses high temperature and high pressure to cross-link rubber molecules, endowing the belt with its final strength, elasticity, heat resistance, and wear resistance.

Working Principle of Vulcanization Equipment

Vulcanization equipment uses heat, pressure, and time to crosslink rubber molecules through vulcanizing agents (sulfur or peroxides), giving belts strength, elasticity, and heat resistance.

  • Heating

Steam, hot air, electricity, or heat-transfer oil raises the mold or drum to 150–180°

  • Pressurizing

The belt blank is pressed in the mold or on the drum to bond layers tightly and maintain the designed shape.

  • Crosslinking

Heat and pressure cause rubber molecules to form crosslinks, improving mechanical properties.

  • Shaping

The mold or drum ensures dimensional and profile stability (especially for toothed belts).

  • Cooling & Demolding

After vulcanization, the belt is cooled to retain shape, then removed or cut.
